HISTORY
The WDLTA was formed in 1967 with the objectives being to provide and promote Lawn tennis for clubs in the neighbourhood of Warrington .To arrange league matches tournaments and events in accordance with the laws of the lawn tennis association with a view to the advancement ,interest and fellowship of the game.

ABOUT US
The league currently has 18 member clubs from Warrington and the surrounding district, these including teams from Wigan, Leigh and Widnes. There are Gents and Ladies leagues which run concurrently from April to July, when both are replaced by a Mixed league until the end of August.
Currently the Gents league has 68 teams divided into 7 divisions ,the Ladies 51 teams divided into 7 divisions and the Mixed 54 teams in 7 divisions.

The Association hosts two major official LTA tournaments.
The Stockton Heath Tournament, is a senior Tournament with events for Ladies, Men and Veterans in both singles and doubles plus Mixed doubles and an under 23 mens event.
The Warrington Junior Tournament, has official rating status and incorporates singles and doubles events for both boys and girls in age groups
under 12 ; 14 ; 16 ; 18., plus an under 18
mixed event.
